Workplan for 1997-98
and 1998-99
to be submitted by July 15, 1997
to the University of North Carolina General Administration

process.
- Each workplan will include descriptions of:
- A general description of the planning process;
- How the goals and objectives of the Partnership relate to the
knowledge base and conceptual framework of the preparation programs for
teachers, administrators, and other educators;
- The organizational and governance structure, including roles relationships,
and responsibilities of all the key stakeholders, which may include private
colleges, businesses, and community groups;
- How the Partnership will attend to issues of diversity;
- Ways in which technology will be utilized to address the goals of
the Partnership;
- Proposed resource commitments for the Partnership including
current and expansion funding from university, schools, business,
and other sources;
- Timelines for implementing the Partnership goals in 1997-98 and
1998-99;
- Short-term and long-term evaluation strategies, which should
include a plan to assess the employment, performance, and retention of
teacher education graduates; and
- Expected continuing activities and required resources after
1998-99.
- Please limit narrative to
no more than 25 pages (double-spaced).
- Submit the information in
a loose-leaf notebook, not bound.
- Include a map that shows
locations of all partners.
- Include signature pages
for University Chancellor, Board of Trustees, Public school Superintendent(s),
and Chair(s) of local school boards in Appendix A.
- Include any supportive documents,
such as signed agreements, in Appendix B.
