The Board of Governors met in special session in the General Administration

Building, Chapel Hill, on June 14, 1996, at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Neill, the chairman, presided.

INVOCATION

The board observed a moment of silence in memory of the late Dr. Charles H.

Gilchrist, Director of Choral Activities at North Carolina Central University. Mr. Kinsey gave

the invocation.
