Current Job As a high school principal my primary responsibilities consist of the leadership and supervision of all facets of the school’s comprehensive program.  Facets include curriculum and instruction; safety and discipline; budget and finances; personnel management; transportation; and extracurricular activities.

My interests and passions center around family - my wife, Angela; daughters, Lauren and Meredith; and sons, Taylor and Garrett.  Hobbies include spectator sports and participation in golf, tennis, and basketball.

In an environment of high stakes academic emphasis Goleman’s book provides refreshing balance.  Emotional intelligence is defined within the scope of Howard Gardner’s inter and intra personal intelligences.  The importance of enhancing students’ emotional learning experience within the school climate is emphasized.

Education of a Wandering Man

An entertaining autobiography detailing the life of Louis L'Amour who became one of the most famous writers of the American West. The son of a teacher L'Amour's education beyond the classroom is remarkable having worked as a longshoreman, lumberjack, professional boxer and cattle hand. His travels took him around the world including a tour of duty as a decorated war hero.
